Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kiwi Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Dominic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bird is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominic scores with a jab. Bird acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Bird is breathing heavily.
Bird misses with a double jab
and Dominic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dominic scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Dominic tests Bird's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bird takes one to the side of the head.
Dominic lands with a shot to the body.
Bird has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bird there as he acknowledges the shot.

Dominic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bird looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dominic is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bird will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
