The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green thuds a left hand into DeSouza's body.
Green moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Green throws a sloppy head kick and DeSouza moves out of range easily.

DeSouza closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Green quickly recovers to half guard.
Green is looking for a sweep. DeSouza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Green wants to control but DeSouza is keeping busy and won't allow it.
