Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aj Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coalman!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a takedown attempt

and Coalman counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Smith looking for submissions off his back.
Coalman working over Smith with some ground and pound. Smith looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Coalman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Smith is pressing down on Coalman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Coalman scoring with some ground and pound.
Coalman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith looking for a guillotine here but Coalman defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coalman defends it easily.
Coalman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coalman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Coalman is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Smith has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Coalman is looking to defend but Smith has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Coalman! Smith pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Coalman taps out and this one is all over!
