Urdaalen comes to the cage accompanied by Dope - I'm Back . Ilya Murometz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Orh Urdaalen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Orh Urdaalen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ilya Murometz!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murometz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Murometz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Urdaalen swivels and escapes.
Urdaalen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Murometz tries to clinch up but Urdaalen circles away and keeps his distance.
Murometz wants to clinch.
Murometz tries to clinch but Urdaalen is having none of it.
No luck for Urdaalen with that takedown attempt.
Murometz looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Urdaalen fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orh Urdaalen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Urdaalen gets the takedown into side control.
Murometz is looking for a sweep.
Urdaalen wants to control but Murometz is keeping him busy.
Urdaalen throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murometz manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Murometz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Murometz is trying to control. Urdaalen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Murometz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Murometz is looking to stall here but Urdaalen recovers full guard.
Murometz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

It looks like Murometz might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ilya Murometz.

Murometz closes the distance and clinches.

Murometz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Murometz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Urdaalen as he avoids it easily.
Urdaalen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Murometz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Murometz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Urdaalen. That did some damage!
Urdaalen keeps the fight on the outside.

Murometz clinches with his opponent.

Murometz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Urdaalen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Urdaalen is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Murometz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Murometz tries to clinch there but Urdaalen circles away.

Murometz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ilya Murometz dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Murometz connects with a solid leg kick.
Orh Urdaalen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Murometz lands a big head kick that sends Urdaalen tumbling to the mat! Murometz takes a step backwards and waves Urdaalen back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Orh Urdaalen has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Murometz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Murometz moves into the clinch successfully.
Urdaalen takes an elbow to the temple.
Murometz lands on the inside with an uppercut.


Urdaalen is rocked!
Murometz unloads a knee to the mid-section. Urdaalen lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Oh Urdaalen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Murometz pressing his opponent against the cage.
Murometz lands an elbow inside that Urdaalen shrugs off.
Murometz jerks Urdaalen's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Urdaalen drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Murometz goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Murometz because Urdaalen was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Ilya Murometz!
