Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nihua Hua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Stackstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nihua Hua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Stackstein!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stackstein shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hua counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hua.
Stackstein can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hua controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nihua Hua just wasn't active enough.
Hua throws a head kick that misses
and Stackstein counters with a straight right hand.
Stackstein with a poor takedown

and Hua counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stackstein looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hua is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Nihua Hua has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Stackstein tries to clinch but Hua moves away

and Hua counters with a shoot takedown. Stackstein fights it but they end up in guard.
Hua is stalling in the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hua postures up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Hua drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Stackstein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Stackstein looking to control but Hua passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stackstein wants to get back to full guard.
Hua prevents Stackstein from standing back up.
Hua performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hua closes the distance and pushes Stackstein back into the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Stackstein lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Hua.
Stackstein wants a takedown but no success here.
Nihua Hua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Stackstein.

Stackstein drags the fight down to the ground.
Stackstein looking to control.

Hua stands and steps away. Stackstein gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Gary Stackstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hua throws a left and a right that both miss

and Stackstein counters by moving into the clinch.
Stackstein tries to circle away but Hua has him pinned against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nihua Hua dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Stackstein with a poor takedown

and Hua counters with a shoot takedown. Stackstein fights it but they end up in guard.

Stackstein wants to get back to his feet but Hua is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Stackstein wants to hit a switch here but Hua passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Stackstein there!

Stackstein is working to get back to half guard.
Hua sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Stackstein is desperately trying to improve his position but Hua has a good base and remains in mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hua avoids the attempt from Stackstein to control.
Hua content just to control the position here.
Hua seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stackstein for as long as he can get away with.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Nihua Hua has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Hua throws a combination that misses

and Stackstein moves into the clinch.
Stackstein tries to break free but Hua pushes him back against the cage.
Hua trying to stall but Stackstein improves his position.

Stackstein pulls guard effortlessly.
Hua pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stackstein is keeping the position for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hua stands and steps away. Stackstein gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Stackstein tries for a takedown but Hua circles away easily
and Hua counters with a series of strikes. Stackstein will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hua tries to clinch

and Stackstein counters with a takedown into side control.
Stackstein just content to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nihua Hua dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Stackstein slips a jab from Hua.
Hua throws a body kick the misses

and Stackstein counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hua's guard now.
Hua will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hua can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stackstein controls the pace.
Stackstein trying to control the position from guard on top but Hua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stackstein is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hua keeping moving, preventing Stackstein from controlling successfully.

Stackstein stops Hua from standing up.
Stackstein trying to control the position from guard on top but Hua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gary Stackstein was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hua digs a good body shot into Stackstein's ribs.
Stackstein fails with the takedown

Stackstein has his takedown stuffed

and Hua decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stackstein's guard.
Stackstein takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Stackstein wants to get back to his feet but Hua is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Stackstein looking to control.
Hua is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nihua Hua wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Hua throws a head kick that misses

and Stackstein counters with a single leg into guard. Hua didn't expect that.
Stackstein throws and elbow that misses. Hua uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stackstein's guard. Nice move by Hua!
Hua controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hua would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Nihua Hua is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hua not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nihua Hua just wasn't active enough.
Stackstein tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hua paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gary Stackstein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hua closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stackstein to the mat! Stackstein manages to get full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nihua Hua.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hua, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
