Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Zangief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evgenii Lukianov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zangief comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica-Don't Tread on Me . Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangief circles away from the clinch attempt
and Zangief counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Zangief.
Zangief cracks Lukianov with a big right hand but Lukianov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Lukianov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Zangief throwing strikes but Lukianov manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Zangief is not content to let Lukianov control the position.
Lukianov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Zangief swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lukianov is now in Zangief's guard. A big mistake from Zangief there, giving up the dominant position!

Zangief is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Lukianov wants to stand but Zangief is controlling his posture from full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Lukianov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Zangief off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Well, if Zangief is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Zangief drops an elbow to the side of Lukianov's head.
Zangief is nestled in close to Lukianov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Zangief looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lukianov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lukianov has hold of Zangief's hands but Zangief slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Lukianov is breathing heavily.
Zangief works his foot free and advances to mount.
Zangief is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lukianov can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That has opened up Evgenii Lukianov's cut even more.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Lukianov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zangief accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Zangief throws a good cross that connects.
Lukianov tries to clinch but Zangief moves away
and Zangief counters with a takedown into side control.
Zangief lands a nice forearm strike.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zangief wants to control but Lukianov is keeping him busy.
Zangief is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lukianov can do to turn this around?

Ivan Zangief overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Zangief wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lukianov, who protects the arm well.

Lukianov takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The cut above Evgenii Lukianov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Lukianov is trying to buck Zangief off.

Evgenii Lukianov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Evgenii Lukianov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ivan Zangief!
