The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poliwrath gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Poliwrath throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Takimoto escapes and throws Poliwrath's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Takimoto stands up.
Poliwrath takes a swing at Takimoto's ribcage but misses.
Poliwrath takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Poliwrath throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Takimoto counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Takimoto decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Poliwrath throws a series of punches but Takimoto avoids them all with ease.

Takimoto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Takimoto has hold of Poliwrath's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Poliwrath tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Takimoto cranks the arm and Poliwrath screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Poliwrath, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
