Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Engrle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Fitts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fitts's choice of entrance music: Alice In Chains - No Excuses. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitts buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Engrle pushes Fitts up against the cage in a clinch.

Engrle tries a knee to the head but Fitts blocks it.

Fitts breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stan Engrle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Fitts cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Fitts counters with an outside leg kick.
Engrle throws a sloppy head kick
and Fitts makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
A shot to the body from Engrle misses
and Fitts counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fitts connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Engrle's hands.

It looks like Stan Engrle has been cut.
Fitts lands with a hook. Engrle tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Fitts lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Engrle is breathing heavily.

Engrle takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Engrle walks into a jab.

Fitts lands a left and a right that send Engrle crashing to the mat, dazed. Fitts thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Engrle is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fitts connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Engrle tumbling to the canvas! Fitts pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Engrle was done - good stoppage!
