Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wrestling Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poo Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Poo Bear!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear fails with the takedown

and Scott counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bear won't be happy with that.
Scott laying and praying for a moment but Bear takes advantage and regains half guard.

Scott is trying to control. Bear wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bear is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Scott scores with a couple of nice shots.

Scott tries to free his leg and advance position but Bear is retaining full guard.

Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bear on the ground.
Scott lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Scott slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Scott is looking to work some ground and pound but Bear has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bear wants to sweep but no luck.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Scott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bear swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Scott connects with a nice short shot to Bear's temple.
Scott takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Scott wants to control the pace but Bear is squirming around nicely.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scott is looking to take a break and control but Bear is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wrestling Scott dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Scott takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Bear throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Scott was covering up waiting for the punch and Bear finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Scott might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bear is fighting to break Scott's control of his arms but Scott is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Scott on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Scott tries to get out of the position.

Bear is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bear shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Scott counters with a shoot takedown. Bear fights it but they end up in guard.
Scott wants to control from the top but Bear keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bear holds on and takes a little breather.

Scott cracks Bear with a solid left hand.
Bear utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bear is trying to control the position but Scott postures up.
Scottis looking to pass into half guard but Bear pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bear is in guard.
Wrestling Scott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Scott wants to sweep but no luck.

Scott tries to bench press Bear off him but Bear keeps the position.

Scott struggling a bit here.
Scott regains half guard there - taking advantage of Bear's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Scott is trying to keep Bear in close.

Scott has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bear has passed into side control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wrestling Scott will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Scott closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bear did well to prevent Scott getting side control.

Scott is nestled in close to Bear, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Bear is staying active underneath Scott, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Scott looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Bear wants to control but Scott is keeping busy.
Scott looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bear keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Scott looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bear with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Scott wants to free his trapped foot but Bear is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Wrestling Scott just wasn't active enough.

Scott closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bear is not content to let Scott control the position.
Scott working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bear is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bear takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Scott lands a nice short elbow.
Scott is pressing down on Bear's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bear is holding on for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wrestling Scott showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scott, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
