The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quarantine tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Khalifa counters with a shoot takedown. Quarantine fights it but they end up in guard.

Quarantine pushes Khalifa off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dan Quarantine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quarantine fails with the takedown

and Khalifa counters with a single leg into guard. Quarantine didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khalifa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Khalifa wants to get up but he can't break Quarantine's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Wiz Khalifa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Quarantine misses with a takedown attempt

and Khalifa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quarantine won't be happy with that.

Quarantine pushes Khalifa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Khalifa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Khalifa decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Khalifa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Quarantine is looking to stand up but Khalifa isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quarantine is looking to sinch up a triangle. Khalifa throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Quarantine's body to avoid the submission. Quarantine has instead reached around Khalifa's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Quarantine arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
