PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Infamous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Infamous's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Maino - All The Above. Cote has chosen Slaughterhouse-The One as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Chris Infamous has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Chris Infamous seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Infamous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Cote!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Cote with that takedown attempt.

Cote scores with a takedown into Infamous's guard.

Infamous escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cote gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cote won't allow Infamous to sweep him here.
Cote trying to control the position from guard on top but Infamous is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Infamous had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cote is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Infamous Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cote's back instead.
Cote tries to break free.
Infamous doesn't have the hooks in and Cote manages to turn into his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Infamous looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cote is one step ahead there.

Cote has gone for a leg lock! Infamous slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cote's guard.
Cote looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Infamous advances position into side control!

Infamous tries for a kimura but Cote is defending well.
Cote sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cote trying to get back to full guard but Infamous takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Infamous is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Infamous working Cote over with strikes here.
Cote is wriggling around trying to escape.

Infamous looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Cote is trying desperately to improve position.
Cote looks gassed!
Cote is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Cote tries to hold on but Infamous pushes him away.
Infamous in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Infamous really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Infamous lands a nice shot to the head.

Infamous looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Cote is trying desperately to improve position.
Infamous scoring with strikes but Cote is staying in there.

Infamous wants to finish this one by submission but Cote is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Infamous.
Infamous will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cote can't escape the position.

Infamous working for a submission but Cote is keeping him at bay.
Cote is wriggling around trying to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Infamous wants to finish this one by submission but Cote is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Infamous.
Cote regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Infamous working over Cote with some ground and pound. Cote looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Infamous works his way into full mount!
Cote throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Infamous has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Infamous looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Infamous dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Cote uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Infamous.
Cote fails to land the takedown.
Infamous cracks Cote with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cote tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Infamous pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cote is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Infamous!
