The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

fonseca jr feints and as PENN raises his hands in defense, fonseca jr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
PENN wants to sweep here but fonseca jr controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
