Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Mustaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shina Aoyki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mustaine comes to the cage accompanied by This Day We Fight! by Megadeth. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Mustaine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Shina Aoyki!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoyki misses with a low kick.
Mustaine is looking to slow Aoyki down with leg kicks.
Aoyki stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mustaine.
Aoyki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Aoyki tries for a kimura but Mustaine is defending well.
Mustaine regains half guard, as Aoyki was trying to land strikes.
Aoyki wants to free his trapped foot but Mustaine is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Aoyki sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mustaine defending well though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aoyki is looking for a kimura but Mustaine is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Aoyki to get the leverage.
Aoyki working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Mustaine's thigh. Mustaine counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Aoyki missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Aoyki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aoyki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Aoyki throws a strike but Mustaine rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Aoyki has his foot on Mustaine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mustaine works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Aoyki is looking for a triangle but Mustaine pushes his legs off easily.
Aoyki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Aoyki working for a triangle but Mustaine defends it easily.
Aoyki looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mustaine passes into side control.
Mustaine taking a break here but Aoyki is having none of it and regains half guard.

Aoyki tries to roll over but Mustaine keeps him under control.
Aoyki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mustaine is working away from the top position though.
Aoyki wants to improve his position but Mustaine is controlling well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aoyki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mustaine stalling.
Aoyki gets full guard.
Mustaine stopping the sweep attempt from Aoyki.
Mustaine tries to free his leg and advance position but Aoyki is retaining full guard.

Aoyki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Aoyki wants to free his trapped foot but Mustaine is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Aoyki thows a huge punch but Mustaine dodges it nicely.
Aoyki passes to full mount!
Mustaine tries to hold on but Aoyki postures up.

Aoyki misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The referee warns Mustaine that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Aoyki is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Aoyki extends the arm and Mustaine is forced to tap!
