The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jobberson darts in and clinches Groenhud up against the cage.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Groenhud is on top in guard.

Groenhud had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jobberson defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Groenhud goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jobberson is on top in guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Jobby Jobberson will probably get the nod.

Groenhud misses with a takedown

and Jobberson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Groenhud!
Jobby Jobberson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Groenhud wants to control but Jobberson is having none of it.
Jobberson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Groenhud is working to get back to half guard.
Groenhud takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jobberson cracks Groenhud with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Groenhud is rocked!
Jobberson loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Groenhud scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Jobberson land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Jobberson stands and salutes the crowd.
