PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gosha Zeleev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleb Aslan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gosha Zeleev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaleb Aslan!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeleev fails with the takedown
and Aslan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Zeleev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Aslan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zeleev thinking.
Aslan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Aslan drives through with a takedown into Zeleev's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Zeleev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zeleev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aslan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Zeleev is breathing heavily.
Aslan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Zeleev looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Aslan has picked Zeleev up and slammed him! Zeleev can't keep hold of the triangle and Aslan manages to pass to side control!

Aslan connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Zeleev some visible discomfort.
Oh Zeleev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Aslan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zeleev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Zeleev tries to buck Aslan off but Aslan is having none of it.

Aslan decides to stand back up. Aslan steps back and let's Zeleev get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Aslan connects with a body shot that sends Zeleev's belly button to the back.
Zeleev takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Aslan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Zeleev under the eye.
Aslan throws a body punch but Zeleev moves out of range.
Aslan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aslan cracks Zeleev with an open hand slap.

Aslan misses with an uppercut. Zeleev saw that one coming.
Aslan stuns Zeleev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Aslan takes a swing at Zeleev's ribcage but misses.
Sloppy strikes from Aslan. Those never looked like landing.
Aslan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Zeleev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aslan throws out the jab.
Aslan is looking to clinch but Zeleev is avoiding it.
Zeleev keeps the fight on the outside.
Aslan lands with a cross.
A thudding body kick lands there by Aslan!

This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aslan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Zeleev moves away from the strike by Aslan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaleb Aslan dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Aslan catches Zeleev with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Aslan fails to land with a series of punches.
Aslan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Zeleev.
Kaleb Aslan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Zeleev has his takedown stuffed
and Aslan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Zeleev gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Aslan points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Zeleev wakes up just in time to hear Aslan thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
