Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jubei Kitagami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cleon Salmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salmon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Heartbeats. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salmon jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Jubei Kitagami has been cut.
Salmon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kitagami fails with an attempt to clinch.
Salmon shoots for a takedown but Kitagami saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kitagami fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kitagami uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Salmon.
Kitagami plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Cleon Salmon has been cut.
Kitagami bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Salmon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Salmon lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Salmon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kitagami misses with a punch on the inside.

Salmon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Salmon misses with a two punch combination.

Salmon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kitagami seems a little lost for a moment, as Salmon dominates the positioning.
Salmon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Salmon has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Salmon unloads with some shots from mount but Kitagami bucks and avoids them well.
Salmon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Salmon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Poor strikes thrown by Salmon there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
