Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morgan Hilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into the arena with Super Freak blaring out of the sound system. Morgan Hilton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Morgan Hilton!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilton pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hilton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hilton misses with a right hand
and James counters with a nice body kick.
James tries to clinch
and Hilton counters with a series of strikes. James will be more careful next time no doubt.
James tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hilton counters with a two punch combo.

Hilton tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
James takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
James tries to clinch but Hilton moves away
and Hilton counters with a nice uppercut.
Hilton lands with a hook. James tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
James throws a sloppy head kick and Hilton moves out of range easily.

Hilton looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely.
James looks to clinch
and Hilton counters with a one-two to the body.

and Hilton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hilton lands with a hook. James tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Hilton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Hilton makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hilton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and James counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rick James dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

James has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hilton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

enabling Hilton to counter with a crisp jab.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

and Hilton counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hilton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hilton missing with a left hand there. James was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
James throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hilton counters with a three punch combo that has James backing up. James nods at Hilton to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and James counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hilton is lucky that one didn't land flush.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Morgan Hilton.
Well Hilton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
