Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hodger Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickhard Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rickhard Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Hodger Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickhard Smith!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gracie scores a takedown into full mount!
Gracie tries to control but Smith wriggling away.
Smith bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Smith with a nice head shot there.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass.
Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gracie has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Smith has passed into side control.
Gracie is looking to regain half guard here but Smith keeps moving and retains side control.

Smith cracks Gracie with a big elbow.
Gracie manages to get back to half guard.
Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gracie's head.
Smith seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
It looks like Hodger Gracie has been cut.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Smith lands a nice short elbow.
Gracie on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gracie wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
Smith thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Gracie to regain full guard.
Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smith defends well.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gracie has an active guard here but Smith has managed to pass into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage.
Gracie is looking to get back to full guard here but Smith has managed to pass to side control instead.
Gracie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Jeez, Hodger Gracie's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hodger Gracie's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
