The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Horrible takedown by Evans or perhaps it was just good defense by Ject which made him look bad.

Ject sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Evans takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Ject misses with a lunging right hand
and Evans counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ject's knee momentarily.
Evans tries to close the distance and clinch but Ject swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Evans counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ject!

Ject tries to hold on but Evans pushes him away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
