Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy McDermot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDermot's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, HL. Hawkins has chosen "Tubthumping" by Chumbawumba as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins throws out a loose jab but McDermot uses good head movement to avoid it.
McDermot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McDermot is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hawkins.
McDermot gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Hawkins counter with a right hand.

It looks like Jimmy McDermot has been cut.
McDermot slips under a jab from Hawkins.
McDermot wants to clinch
and Hawkins counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from McDermot - that will leave a mark!
McDermot throws a sloppy head kick and Hawkins moves out of range easily.
McDermot closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hawkins makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hawkins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jimmy McDermot's cut is getting worse.
McDermot gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Hawkins gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
