The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taneyev tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Diaz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Diaz tries to clinch but Taneyev is having none of it.

and Taneyev counters with a single leg into guard. Diaz didn't expect that.

Diaz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Taneyev stacks Diaz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Taneyev!
