Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Wanijima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Kolesnichenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Denis Kolesnichenko!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wanijima gets caught napping as Kolesnichenko dives in and scores a takedown. Wanijima manages to retain guard.

Kolesnichenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wanijima can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kolesnichenko controls Wanijima momentarily but Wanijima frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kolesnichenko doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Wanijima counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Wanijima is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kolesnichenko sees it coming and defends easily.

Kaito Wanijima overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kolesnichenko throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Wanijima because Kolesnichenko loaded up on that one.

Kolesnichenko is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Wanijima is forced to tap! Great finish!
