Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Ely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Youngio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Youngio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Youngio fails with the takedown
and Ely counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ely looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Youngio enables Ely to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Youngio manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Youngio wants to sweep but no luck.
Youngio is looking to stand up but Ely isn't so interested in that idea.
Ely has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Youngio is proving hard to escape from.
Youngio pulls Ely in close to prevent any damage.

Youngio is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Ely drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Youngio decides to pull guard.
Ely has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Youngio tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ely won't allow Youngio to get back to his feet.
Ely is fighting to break Youngio's control of his arms but Youngio is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ely is looking to advance position but Youngio has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Youngio looking to control and managing it successfully.

Youngio landing strikes from the mount and Ely is in trouble!
Ely knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Youngio on the ground.

Youngio get's back to his feet.
Youngio will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Youngio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ely's waist but Ely gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Youngio off to one side.
Aaron Ely has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Youngio.
Nice takedown defense from Ely. No joy for Youngio on that attempt.
Youngio fails in his attempt to clinch.

Youngio drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ely can't keep his opponent in guard - Youngio advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Youngio wants to take a breather but Ely is having none of it.

Youngio looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ely with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ely is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Youngio jumps into side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Youngio lands an elbow.
Youngio staying calm.
Youngio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ely keeps working.
Youngio takes a little break here. Ely wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Youngio stands up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Youngio dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Youngio tries to close the distance and clinch but Ely swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ely keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Youngio misses with a takedown

and Ely counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Youngio is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ely rolls with it to try and escape but Youngio cranks on the arm and Ely is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
