Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grigory Stensky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Maurizio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stensky's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, GORBACHOV. The crowd seem to be enjoying Maurizio's choice of entrance music: NMH2: No More Riot. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maurizio clinches up against the cage.

It looks like Grigory Stensky has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stensky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maurizio is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Maurizio creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stensky's defenses.

Stensky drops down looking for an ankle pick but Maurizio pulls his leg out and moves away.

Maurizio closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Maurizio is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stensky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maurizio.

Stensky is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maurizio pulls his head out easily.

Stensky goes for an armbar but Maurizio turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Maurizio.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stensky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maurizio defends it easily.
Maurizio has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stensky is proving hard to escape from.

Maurizio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stensky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stensky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stensky!
Stensky will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Stensky swings around for an armbar but Maurizio sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Stensky's guard.

Stensky goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Maurizio has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stensky but great work by Maurizio.

Stensky has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Maurizio. Oh but Stensky has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Maurizio goes limp - he's gone! Stensky jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
