The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero shoots in for a double leg but Tiki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Zero clinches with his opponent.

Zero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tiki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No luck for Zero with that takedown attempt.
Zero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sub Zero. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tiki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Zero manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Tiki tries to clinch but Zero moves out of range.
Tiki is looking to clinch.
Tiki throws a right hand that Zero ducks under and follows up with a left that Zero also avoids with ease.

Zero drives through and clinches with Tiki against the cage.
Tiki blocks an elbow strike from Zero.

Zero breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Zero feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Tiki sprawling to the canvas! Tiki rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Zero finish him?!

Tiki is rocked!

It looks like Mahuna Tiki has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zero misses with a lunging right hand

and Tiki counters with a takedown into side control.

Tiki stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Zero fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tiki ducks under a wild hook from Zero.

Zero moves into the clinch successfully.
Zero lands an uppercut.

Zero breaks from the clinch.
Tiki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Zero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zero tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tiki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zero cracks Tiki with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Tiki tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Zero pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Tiki is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sub Zero!
