Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marco Kolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjorn Skaldssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kolo comes to the cage accompanied by As I Lay Dying - This Is Who We Are. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Kolo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bjorn Skaldssen!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kolo. Skaldssen shrugs it off though.
Kolo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kolo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Skaldssen tries to clinch but Kolo is having none of it.

Skaldssen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Skaldssen moves into range and clinches up with Kolo.
Kolo has Skaldssen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Skaldssen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kolo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Skaldssen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kolo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Skaldssen is trying to keep an underhook but Kolo manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Kolo seems content to control.
Skaldssen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kolo is working away from the top position though.
Skaldssen is controlling Kolo's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Kolo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Skaldssen looking to control and managing it successfully.
Let's hope that Skaldssen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Skaldssen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kolo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Skaldssen seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Kolo's chin but Kolo turns very nicely into Skaldssen's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Kolo.

Skaldssen is looking to chop away at Kolo's legs.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown by Kolo or perhaps it was just good defense by Skaldssen which made him look bad.

Kolo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Skaldssen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kolo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Skaldssen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Skaldssen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
