These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wambolt fails with an attempt to clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Benjamin.
Benjamin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Wambolt tries to improve position but can't.

Benjamin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wambolt has escaped the position, nice work there.
Benjamin has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Wambolt!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Benjamin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wambolt manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wambolt really is a fat lump.

Benjamin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wambolt, who protects the arm well.

Wambolt is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Benjamin pulls his head out easily.

Wambolt tries to roll over but Benjamin keeps him under control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wambolt misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Benjamin with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Benjamin is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Wambolt is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Wambolt flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Benjamin anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Wambolt and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Benjamin slips an arm under Wambolt chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Benjamin has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Benjamin is squeezing on Wambolt like an anaconda would it's prey. Wambolt fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
