Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kjell Hammarsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Hudson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hammarsson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hudson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hudson shoots in looking for a takedown. Hammarsson tries to sprawl out of it but Hudson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hammarsson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hudson gets tackled into the cage by Hammarsson. Hammarsson maintains the clinch.

Hudson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hammarsson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hudson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hammarsson is on top in guard.

Hammarsson stands and steps away. Hudson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hudson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hudson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hudson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hammarsson is fending him off so far but Hudson persists. Nope, Hammarsson circles away and we're back to standing.

Hammarsson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hudson's guard.

Hudson misses with a takedown attempt - Hammarsson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kjell Hammarsson.
I think Hudson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
