Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fiat Punto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Van Persie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punto throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Van Persie was covering up waiting for the punch and Punto finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Van Persie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Van Persie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Punto counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Punto.

Punto ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Punto no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Punto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Persie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Punto is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Van Persie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Van Persie shrugs it off.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Persie can do anything to dispel that myth.

Punto is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Van Persie is forced to tap! Great finish!
