The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tran shoots in for a takedown but Spies shows good takedown defense.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Spies is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tran gets his way!

Tran working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Spies is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Tran has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Spies taps out!
