Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grzegorz Lipnicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo De Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grzegorz Lipnicki has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronaldo De Sousa!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from De Sousa misses

and Lipnicki counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lipnicki.
Lipnicki tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and De Sousa avoids it.

Lipnicki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lipnicki misses with a takedown attempt
and De Sousa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lipnicki's knee momentarily.

De Sousa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lipnicki to the ground. De Sousa is now in Lipnicki's guard.
De Sousa wants to control from the top but Lipnicki keeps moving.
De Sousa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lipnicki is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Sousa postures up in Lipnicki's guard and throws a big left but Lipnicki blocks it.

De Sousa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and De Sousa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
De Sousa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
De Sousa wants to control from the top but Lipnicki keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De Sousa lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Lipnicki keeping moving, preventing De Sousa from controlling successfully.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

De Sousa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

De Sousa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
De Sousa won't allow Lipnicki to sweep him here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
De Sousa wants to control from the top but Lipnicki keeps moving.

De Sousa drops back looking for a leg! Lipnicki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lipnicki manages to kick De Sousa off! De Sousa jumps back into Lipnicki's guard.
De Sousa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lipnicki will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Lipnicki uses the cage to get back to his feet.

De Sousa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
De Sousa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

De Sousa is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
De Sousa wants to take a breather but Lipnicki is having none of it.
De Sousa passes to side control.

De Sousa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lipnicki is trying to escape and De Sousa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lipnicki is forced to tap! Nice work there by De Sousa! Very nice indeed!
