Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joel Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Class Rob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez comes to the cage accompanied by Ten Million Slaves (otis taylor). Rob has chosen Thriller as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gonzalez is controlling the pace.
Rob desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Gonzalez is keen to just control but Rob is a slippery customer.
Rob tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Gonzalez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Gonzalez not doing much here.
Rob tries to roll over but Gonzalez keeps him under control.

Gonzalez thows a huge punch but Rob dodges it nicely.

Rob is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Gonzalez pulls his head out easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gonzalez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rob.
Rob tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gonzalez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rob wants to clinch.
Gonzalez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gonzalez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rob.

Rob wants to get back to full guard.

Gonzalez is looking for a kimura but Rob is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gonzalez to get the leverage.

Gonzalez passes the guard and advances to mount!
Gonzalez prevents Rob from getting the reversal.
Gonzalez connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Rob is trying to escape the mount.
Rob wants to hold on but Gonzalez pushes him away.

Rob tries to lock up and control but Gonzalez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Gonzalez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rob can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gonzalez is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Rob is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Gonzalez pulls his head out easily.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gonzalez lands a nice short elbow.
Rob keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Gonzalez tries to stand and escape but Rob is controlling the position.
Gonzalez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rob is pressing down on Gonzalez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gonzalez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rob is positioning himself well to prevent Gonzalez advancing to mount.

It looks like Joel Gonzalez has been cut.
Rob postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Gonzalez covers up, he's hurt! Rob keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Rob and the ref steps in to end the fight! Rob can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
