Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Amazing Game (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakim Hamsho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Game comes to the cage accompanied by Spirit in the Sky. Hamsho has chosen Jump Around as his entrance music. Hakim Hamsho will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amazing Game!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hakim Hamsho!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Game shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Game thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Game not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Game knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hamsho on the ground.
Hamsho misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Game looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hamsho keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Game missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Game slows the pace down in half guard.
Game is trying to control. Hamsho wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Game throwing shots but Hamsho is blocking nicely.
Hamsho is trying to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Game wants to control but Hamsho is keeping him busy.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Game keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Amazing Game just wasn't active enough.
Hamsho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Game.

Game closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hamsho to the mat! Hamsho manages to get full guard.
Game looking to sit in guard and control but Hamsho gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hamsho decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Game, up you get!
Hamsho ducks under a wild hook from Game.
Hamsho slips under a jab from Game.

Hamsho fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Game misses with a straight right.
Amazing Game seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hamsho takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A decent looking cross lands there for Game.
A telegraphed right hand from Game misses the target.
Hamsho takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Game pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hamsho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Game scores with a sloppy right hand. Hamsho should have avoided that one.
A slow jab from Game misses its intended target.
Game fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hamsho manages to avoid it.
Game lands with an uppercut that bounces Hamsho off the cage and back into rage.
Hamsho on the wrong end of a nice jab.
The fighters circling - Game throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Game jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Game lunges at Hamsho with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hamsho's hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Game enables Hamsho to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Game manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hamsho gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Game closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hamsho's guard.
Game trying to control but Hamsho is working from the bottom.

Hamsho manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Game throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Game scores with a jab to the jaw.
Hamsho keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hamsho walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Game misses with an uppercut

and Hamsho counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hamsho.
Game is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Game is working an open guard so Hamsho takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Game defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hamsho.
Amazing Game has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakim Hamsho.
Game swings for the body but Hamsho moves out of range.
Game is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Game throws a right and a left that both miss.
Game is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Hamsho moves away from the strike by Game.

Game shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hamsho is trying to defend but Game finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Game looks to land a strike but Hamsho avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Hamsho kicks Game off and gets to his feet.
Hamsho throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Game sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Game as Hamsho shoots in.
Game misses with an uppercut
and Hamsho counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Amazing Game has been cut.
Game cracks Hamsho with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Game misses with a straight left.
Jab, jab by Game - just one landing.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Game connects with a crisp jab.
Game throws a poor cross that misses

and Hamsho counters with a nice double leg into side control. Game won't be happy with that.

Hamsho has hold of Game's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Game seems comfortable defending it but Hamsho has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Game is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Game is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hamsho couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hakim Hamsho!
