The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paneda doesn't manage to clinch there - Lumines circles away.

Lumines looking to score a takedown here. Paneda is defending well but Lumines drives through and ends up in Paneda's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lumines drops back looking for a leg! Paneda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paneda manages to kick Lumines off! Lumines jumps back into Paneda's guard.
Lumines would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Paneda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Paneda gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lumines counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Lumines has hold of Paneda's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Paneda tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lumines cranks the arm and Paneda screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Paneda, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
