Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Mustang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoger Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Mustang could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hoger Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roy Mustang!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hoger Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mustang misses with a takedown

and Gracie counters by moving into the clinch.
Gracie tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mustang keeps control of Gracie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gracie has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mustang moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gracie swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Mustang counters with a shoot takedown. Gracie fights it but they end up in guard.

Mustang is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gracie is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hoger Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie sneaks out the side door and pushes Mustang away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mustang goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Gracie rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mustang's guard! Nice work there by Gracie!

That was a close round but I would say that Roy Mustang will probably get the nod.

and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Mustang fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but Mustang persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mustang is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Mustang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
