The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro fails to land the takedown.

and Doom counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ribeiro thinking.
Ribeiro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Doom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ribeiro somewhat.

Doom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ribeiro on the ground.
Doom is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ribeiro is controlling him well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Thulsa Doom will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ribeiro is defended easily by Doom.
Ribeiro scores with a crisp jab that stopped Doom in his tracks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ribeiro tries to bum rush Doom with a series of wild strikes but Doom uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ribeiro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doom looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ribeiro is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Doom knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ribeiro tries to score with some ground and pound. Doom controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
