Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cotter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Riggins tries for a takedown but Cotter circles away easily
and Cotter counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mike Cotter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cotter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cotter throws a head kick but Riggins moves out of range.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cotter. Riggins shrugs it off though.
Cotter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cotter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Danny Riggins has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Cotter counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Cotter looking to finish!
Cotter wants to pass the guard but Riggins is keeping the position.
Riggins has momentary wrist control but Cotter slips an elbow through the middle.

Cotter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riggins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Riggins looks gassed!

Cotter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Riggins to his feet.
Cotter tries a head kick but it misses.

Cotter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Riggins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Riggins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cotter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cotter wants to improve his position but instead Riggins has moved into half guard.

Riggins is trying to control the action in half guard but Cotter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Riggins is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cotter has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Riggins is looking to defend but Cotter has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Riggins! Cotter pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Riggins taps out and this one is all over!
