Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Butter Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Muerte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muerte escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bean gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bean stands and throws Muerte's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Muerte is trying to control Bean's posture but Bean avoids it.
Muerte tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bean wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bean avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Muerte is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Muerte shoots in for a takedown but Bean shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bean lands a nice hook to Muerte's body. Muerte takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Bean lands a left and a right that send Muerte crashing to the mat, dazed. Bean thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Thiago Muerte has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bean throws a series of punches but Muerte avoids them all with ease.
Bean lands a glancing blow to the side of Muerte's head.
Bean scores with a jab to the head.
Muerte closes the distance and clinches up with Bean, looking for a takedown. Muerte pushes Bean against the cage but Bean circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice uppercut lands for Bean. That snapped Muerte's head back.
Bean dips to his left and cracks Muerte with an uppercut!
Muerte looks up at the clock. Bad move! Bean lands a right hand from hell, dropping Muerte. Bean pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
