Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loyack throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Loyack forces Savage back against the cage and clinches.
Savage misses with a knee strike.
Loyack keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Savage's efforts to push away.

Savage is trying to maintain a safe position but Loyack gets an underhook and turns Savage into the cage.

Loyack shoots in and bounces Savage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Loyack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Savage works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Loyack tries to stand but Savage is controlling from the bottom.

Loyack stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Savage swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Savage tries to lock up and control but Loyack gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Loyack is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Savage to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Savage shrugs it off.
Savage wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Loyack .

Savage is desperately trying to improve his position but Loyack has a good base and remains in mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Savage won't allow Loyack to pass to mount.

Loyack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Loyack tightens his grip and picks Savage up, before dumping him to the ground. Savage manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Loyack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Loyack can do anything to dispel that myth.

Loyack darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Loyack lands a nice hook to Savage's body. Savage takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Loyack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Loyack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
