PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Bash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lonnie Thug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bash comes to the cage accompanied by Black Sabbath - Paranoid. Thug comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Breathe - The Prodigy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Jon Bash has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Bash counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bash connects with a body shot that sends Thug's belly button to the back.

and Bash counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Bash dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thug. That did some damage!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bash throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thug fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bash avoids it really well and circles away.
Bash connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Thug momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Bash throws a leg kick but Thug moved away.
Bash feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Thugs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Thug decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bash's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Thug is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bash is just riding it out for now. Thug eventually gives up the hold.

Thug looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bash on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bash tries to get out of the position.

Bash is staying active underneath Thug, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Thug tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bash knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Thug looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
