The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diffie misses with a wild combination.
Lasher gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Diffie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lasher tries for a takedown but Diffie circles away easily
enabling Diffie to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Liam Lasher has been cut.
Joe Diffie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Lasher.

That has opened up Liam Lasher's cut even more.
Lasher darts in trying to clinch
and Diffie counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lasher thinking.
Diffie scores with a hook to the body. Lasher takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Diffie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lasher is trying desperately to land a takedown but Diffie is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lasher.
Diffie misses with a head kick.
Diffie lands with a nice body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lasher dodges the punch combination from Diffie.
Liam Lasher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lasher has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Joe Diffie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Diffie lands with a nice combination. Lasher backs away looking to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
