Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Boladao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Roufus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boladao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Boladão de Amor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rodrigo Boladao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Duke Roufus!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boladao closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Roufus to the mat! Roufus manages to get full guard.
Roufus is adopting a defensive guard.
Boladao wants to control from the top but Roufus keeps moving.
Roufus is pulling down on Boladao's head. It's preventing any offense from Boladao, at least for the moment.
Boladao really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Roufus wants to sweep here but Boladao controlling him for the moment.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Duke Roufus wasn't active enough on the ground.

Boladao shoots in and bounces Roufus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Roufus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Roufus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Roufus is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Boladao has managed to free his arm - good work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Roufus lands a nice short elbow.

Roufus is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Boladao doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Roufus.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roufus really wants to buck Boladao off and get back to his feet.
Boladao tries to control but Roufus wriggling away.
Roufus tries to hold on but Boladao pushes him away.
Roufus bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Roufus throws and elbow that misses. Boladao uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Roufus's guard. Nice move by Boladao!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Boladao counters with a single leg into guard. Roufus didn't expect that.
Roufus wants to hit a switch here but Boladao passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Roufus there!
Roufus is desperately trying to improve his position but Boladao has a good base and remains in mount.
Roufus wants to control but Boladao is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rodrigo Boladao will probably get the nod.
That's time! Boladao's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

so Boladao counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Roufus has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Boladao has passed into side control.
Roufus manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Roufus is looking to control Boladao's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Roufus avoid being mounted?

Roufus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boladao's guard.

Roufus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boladao has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roufus has managed to get both his arms back between Boladao's legs - danger averted.

Roufus stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Boladao throws up his legs and catches Roufus in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Roufus tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Boladao! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Rodrigo Boladao!
