Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rejo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rejo throws a leg kick
and Sharp counters with a two punch combo.
Rejo misses with an uppercut. Sharp saw that one coming.
Rejo throws a jab when Sharp was well out of range.
Sharp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rejo scores with a sloppy right hand. Sharp should have avoided that one.
Rejo misses the shot to the body.
Sharp throws a sloppy head kick and Rejo moves out of range easily.
Sharp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rejo circles away quickly and effectively.
Rejo lands a nice looking body shot.

and Rejo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rejo moves away from the strike by Sharp.

Rejo throws out a leg kick but Sharp moves out of range and Rejo only half commits.

and Rejo counters with a nice kick to the body.
A left lands for Sharp.
Rejo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sharp as he jumps to the side.
Rejo misses with a straight right.
Sharp uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rejo.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sharp.

Rejo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sharp swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Rejo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Rejo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rejo throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rejo looks for a takedown but Sharp sprawls well.
Rejo throws a right hand that Sharp ducks under and follows up with a left that Sharp also avoids with ease.
Rejo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sharp.
Rejo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sharp defends it nicely.
Brooklyn Sharp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Rejo.

Sharp's corner calls for a 1-2. Sharp obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sharp throws a head kick but Rejo moves out of range.
Sharp throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sharp misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sharp uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rejo.
Rejo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sharp on the side of the head.
Rejo connects with a right hand. Sharp shakes it off.

Rejo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Rejo wants to pass to mount but Sharp is defending the position.
Rejo prevents Sharp from improving his position.
Sharp trying to control from the bottom.
Sharp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rejo on the ground.
Sharp is not content to let Rejo control the position.
Rejo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sharp knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rejo is trying to work for a kimura but Sharp is defending well.

Rejo seems to be looking for submissions.
Rejo works his way into full mount!

Rejo goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sharp turns into him and now he's in Rejo's guard.

Rejo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sharp wants to get up but he can't break Rejo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rejo has his foot on Sharp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sharp works his way back into a safe position though.

Rejo is working an open guard so Sharp takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Rejo shoots in but Sharp avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sharp swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rejo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brooklyn Sharp is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rejo tries to clinch up.
Sharp throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sharp pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sharp throws a right and a left that Rejo avoids nicely.
Rejo lands a body shot.
Sharp connects with a body shot.
Good shot there by Sharp.
Rejo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rejo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Rejo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sharp is out of range and Rejo settles back down.
Brooklyn Sharp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sharp throws a lazy uppercut

and Rejo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sharp!
Sharp really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Rejo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sharp can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Rejo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sharp is surviving well by controlling Rejo's body position as best he can.

Rejo working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Sharp looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Rejo! Submission of the night perhaps?
