Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earl Bertane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bedros Adruni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bertane might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dark Tranquillity - Her Silent Language. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adruni misses with a hook
and Bertane counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

so Bertane counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bertane controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bertane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bertane is pushing down on Adruni's leg trying to pass to half guard. Adruni is fighting to maintain full guard but Bertane has managed to sneak the leg through.

It looks like Bedros Adruni has been cut.

That has opened up Bedros Adruni's cut even more.

Bertane remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bertane is looking to take a break and control but Adruni is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Adruni throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bertane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The cut above Bedros Adruni's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Bertane fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Adruni on the side of the head.

Bedros Adruni's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Bertane tries to bum rush Adruni with a series of wild strikes but Adruni uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
