The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Rocket throws a head kick that misses
and Jar counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jar controlling from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jar is stalling in the full guard.
The Rocket really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jar is pushing down on The Rocket's leg trying to pass to half guard. The Rocket is fighting to maintain full guard but Jar has managed to sneak the leg through.

Jar moves nicely into side control.
Jar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Jar lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Jar wants to lay and pray for a moment but The Rocket keeps working.

Jar works to advance to full mount. The Rocket defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Jar loads up with a big shot that hurts The Rocket! He's pulled Jar in close but Jar has postured up and lands more strikes. Can The Rocket survive? More strikes from Jar and The Rocket is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
