Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akira Kurosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Goldman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurosawa's entrance music is War drums. A fine choice. Goldman has chosen Muse - Uprising as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Akira Kurosawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Goldman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosawa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kurosawa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kurosawa has a takedown stuffed.
Goldman misses the shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big right from Goldman misses.
Kurosawa misses with a hook.
Goldman lunges at Kurosawa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kurosawa's hand.
Kurosawa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Goldman.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goldman misses with a shot to the body
and Kurosawa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Kurosawa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Goldman.
Goldman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kurosawa can pounce on him.
Kurosawa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Goldman. That did some damage!
Goldman looks gassed!

Kurosawa throws a leg kick
and Goldman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Goldman moves out of range as Kurosawa throws a body kick.
Goldman blocks the body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Goldman throws a poor cross that misses
and Kurosawa counters with a solid body kick.
Kurosawa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kurosawa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Goldman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akira Kurosawa dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kurosawa lands with a shot to the body.
Kurosawa shoots in for a double leg but Goldman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kurosawa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Goldman is breathing heavily.
Kurosawa checks a low kick from Goldman.

Kurosawa throws a low kick but Goldman avoids it.
A clash of legs there as Goldman blocks the low kick.
Goldman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kurosawa.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kurosawa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kurosawa throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Goldman misses with an uppercut
and Kurosawa counters with a thumping low kick.
Goldman swings widly with a right hand
and Kurosawa counters with a right hand to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kurosawa tries to move into range but Goldman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kurosawa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Goldman throws a body punch but Kurosawa moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Goldman swinging wildly here.
Goldman keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akira Kurosawa dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Kurosawa tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Goldman is able to avoid easily.
Kurosawa misses with a body kick.
Goldman takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Tommy Goldman has been cut.
Kurosawa swings away with a leg kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kurosawa throws out a loose jab but Goldman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Goldman checks a leg kick.
Goldman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kurosawa moves away.
Tommy Goldman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Akira Kurosawa is winning the standup battle so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Goldman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kurosawa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Goldman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Goldman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kurosawa slips a jab and a cross from Goldman.
Kurosawa throws a front kick aimed at Goldman's knee but Goldman avoids it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Goldman throws a hook to the side of Kurosawa's head but Kurosawa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kurosawa is looking to wear down Goldman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Goldman throws a combination that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Goldman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kurosawa swings away with a leg kick that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kurosawa scoring well with a low kick there.
Kurosawa tries to work over Goldman's front leg with a kick but Goldman checks it.
Tommy Goldman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Goldman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kurosawa counters with a nice leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Akira Kurosawa showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kurosawa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
