The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saxon clinches.
Lannister tries for a takedown. No joy.
Lannister is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Saxon slows down the pace here.
Lannister gets underhooks to prevent Saxon's takedown attempt.
Saxon tries to throw a body punch but Lannister avoids it by throwing Saxon back against the ropes.
Saxon jumps into guard, dragging Lannister to the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lannister wants to control from the top but Saxon keeps moving.

Saxon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lannister manages to get himself to full guard.

Saxon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lannister is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lannister has escaped and now he's on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saxon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lannister displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Saxon.

Saxon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tyrion Lannister has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sky Saxon.
Lannister dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Saxon shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Saxon dives in and grabs Lannister's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lannister pushes down on Saxon's head and hops out.
Lannister throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Saxon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lannister bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Saxon's head.

Lannister closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Saxon's guard.
Saxon has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lannister has passed into side control.
Saxon looks gassed!
Lannister is looking to take a break and control but Saxon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Lannister works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Saxon struggling a bit here.
Lannister is putting a hurting on Saxon here, landing some big shots from side control.
Saxon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lannister wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lannister has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Lannister looks to land a right hand but Saxon moved out of range.
Saxon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lannister as he jumps to the side.

and Lannister cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lannister scores with a sloppy right hand. Saxon should have avoided that one.
Saxon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Saxon cracks Lannister with a big right hand but Lannister just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Saxon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lannister is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Lannister is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Lannister is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Saxon throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Lannister works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Lannister is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Saxon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Saxon's back!
