PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace comes to the cage accompanied by Clubbed To Death by Rob Dougan. William Yang will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antoine Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, William Yang!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wallace counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wallace thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Wallace is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wallace trying to control the action but Yang is working from the bottom.
Wallace is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wallace winds up and cracks Yang with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Wallace tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yang is desperately trying to improve his position but Wallace has a good base and remains in mount.

Yang has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wallace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wallace is working Yang over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wallace looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Yang is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wallace is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wallace.
