Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Bandro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Cavalcante!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cavalcante closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Bandro's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cavalcante throws an elbow that misses.

Cavalcante breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cavalcante closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Bandro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Cavalcante tries for a kimura but Bandro is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cavalcante decides to stand back up.

Cavalcante fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bandro sprawls well initially but Cavalcante persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cavalcante keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Bandro is looking to escape.
Cavalcante thows a huge punch but Bandro dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bandro tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Cavalcante manages to move to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cavalcante is working for a guillotine from mount but Bandro frees his head quite easily.

Cavalcante has isolated one of Bandro's arms. Bandro looking to fight him off but Cavalcante twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
