The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz closes the distance and pushes Hawke back into the cage.
The referee calls for Diaz to work.
A body shot lands from Diaz.

Diaz turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Hawke pushes Diaz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Diaz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Diaz creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Hawke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hawke tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Diaz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hawke wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Diaz has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Hawke's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Hawke is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Diaz!
